To celebrate the opening of the first Seoul stores and mark our presence in the city, an exclusive TOTEME exhibition is currently showing at MUE. A local instalment of the SS23 campaign, the exhibition is juxtaposing the portraits, photographed by Steven Meisel, with curated pieces from the collection.

TOTEME IN SEOUL

Held in the gallery space on the top floor of the Cheongdam-dong brutalist building, the exhibition welcomes visitors into a raw yet atmospheric setting that represents TOTEME’s minimalist expression. The 5-unit installation, created in collaboration with Halleroed, sees large scale versions of Meisel’s black and white campaign photographs next to mannequins carrying corresponding pieces from the collection. Each portrait is framed and divided by hollow units in stainless steel with neon lights, turning them into standalone sculptures that interact via a grayscale of shadows and reflections.
The exhibition is free and open Monday to Sunday, 11am to 8pm, between March 10-31. The new Seoul stores are located at Hyundai Main and Hyundai Trade Center.
