Product Developer - Apparel content

TOTEME is looking for a Product Developer to join the Stockholm office full time. In this role you will be responsible for developing products from sketch handover to PPS sign-off for TOTEME’s apparel collection. You will report to the Production and Product Development Director, and will work closely with Designers and Pattern Cutters, the Technical Manager, the Production Manager/Coordinator, the RM Development Manager, and the Collection Manager.



The role

  • Meet product deadlines and communicate key milestones to cross-functional teams
  • Order and deliver high-quality Protos, SMS and PPS on time and within target margin
  • Ensure that developed products are fit for purpose for the customer, brand, and business
  • Build and maintain a close working relationship with Design – act as a technical partner for the Design Director and his team, attend fittings and reviews, give feedback on technical matters, brainstorm solutions to ensure the design vision is translated into a functional product
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with all manufacturers – negotiate costs, lead times and technical aspects to ensure the design vision is maintained
  • Identify and make recommendations on risks/challenges at all production stages, with a focus on quality, price and margin
  • Enter data into our PLM system accurately throughout the development process
  • Deliver products in line with TOTEME’s sustainability standards and values, making sure that relevant product data is always accessible and up to date for the Sustainability team
  • Liaise with the Brand team to develop branding items (labels, tags, etc) in line with TOTEME’s brand Identity and quality standards


Your profile

  • Able to work with Senior Designers, understanding and interpreting their creative aesthetic and design vision, and translating this to teams and vendors
  • Experienced in managing supplier relationships and leveraging on these to meet demands
  • Experienced in managing the critical path, ensuring collections are delivered on time
  • Able to manage a budget with commercial awareness and understanding of product cost, achieving a balance between creativity and commercial implications throughout the process
  • Informed about trends, the market, luxury consumers and competitors
  • Demonstrated expert technical product knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate with credibility, share information effectively, and work confidently with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of Office and Adobe programs and PLM systems
